Anne H. Lee, MS, RDN, MA, LMFT

Anne H. Lee, MS, RDN, MA, LMFT maintains a private practice in Orange County. She maintains offices in Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel and Tustin to provide her patients greater accessibility to her. She specializes in Eating Disorders, Addictions and co-occurring issues such as depression, anxiety, OCD, and trauma.

Anne has been working in the field of mental health for over 17 years. She founded, developed and managed the day to day operations of Mission Hospital Eating Disorder Program in Laguna Beach, CA. After overseeing and providing quality care for their Inpatient and Outpatient Eating Disorder programs as well as providing treatment to their general psychiatric and dual diagnosis programs, Anne decided to devote her time to building her part time practice to a full time private practice.

As a therapist and dietitian, Anne offers a unique perspective in treating Eating Disorders and Addictions as she has a comprehensive understanding of these complex disorders that affect her patients physical, mental and emotional state far beyond those seen in the general psychiatric population. Anne works collaboratively with her patients and uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to help them regain their health in mind, body and spirit. She uses such modalities as Talk Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and other techniques depending on her patient's needs.

In addition to her private practice, Anne has just started a low cost outpatient program with her fellow therapists called Choices in Laguna Niguel. Also, Anne has been a guest lecturer and speaker at high school, colleges, and local businesses on such topics and nutrition for wellness, eating disorders, addictions, and mental health.

"Even though I switched to full time private practice, I've collaborated with my colleagues to start an intensive outpatient program and now I'll be starting an Eating Disorder group cause I just love the group therapy work!"

Often, our feelings of contentment are strongly influenced by our tendency to compare. Why do we so easily believe that we don't measure up, or are not good enough? What if, we all possessed the skill set to build strength, resiliency and hope in our lives? Working in the Co-occurring disorder and substance abuse field for many years, I know that it is possible to heal wounded spirits and repair lives. Working with the HIV(+) and LGBT community, emphasizes my belief, that all people are born, "good enough." I can help you remove the barriers to remembering this.

Using relational and psychodynamic psychotherapy, we will explore how you can build greater confidence and self-esteem. You will develop new skill sets to transform negative self talk into motivational decision making. Victor Frankl said, The last of the human freedoms...is to choose one's attitude." You can choose.

I am also the Coordinator of the Mental Health Department at Tarzana Treatment Centers. In addition, I am on the Adjunct Faculty at Phillips Graduate School. I offer supervision and consultation for other professionals in the field as well. I know that people can grow in profoundly positive ways.

Member Spotlight

Chanda Rankin, PhD, MA, CADC II

I am a seasoned therapist with over 25 years of experience. With a private practice in Petaluma, CA., I work with adults in individual psychotherapy, provide consultations for individuals and families and conduct psychological assessments. I specialize in Substance Use, Addiction, Recovery, Creativity and am currently pursuing certification as a Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT).

Having trained and worked in public and private mental health, inpatient and outpatient locked and open facilities, and with children, adolescents and adults, I bring a unique and broad foundation to my work. These experiences allow me to work with a range of people and circumstances in my private practice.

As a Co-Founder and current Board Member of WAAT, it has been amazing to see WAAT grow. One of the things I love about WAAT is that it brings a diverse range of women together to learn, share experience, support each other and grow.
